Today’s complex construction industry is fraught with the dangers of weathertight issues, poor building standards and shoddy workmanship. Any property inspection – be it pre-purchase or suspect problems - requires due diligence that comes backed by the integrity of independent scrutiny from a Registered Building Surveyor.
One of 160 Registered Building Surveyors in New Zealand and member of the NZ Institute of Building Surveyors, Frans brings 40 years of hands-on expertise to the construction industry. Considerable knowledge has instilled a thorough understanding of building methods and building materials. It began in Belgium at the Trade School of Carpentry and Construction, before working from the ground up as a carpenter to a supervisor in high rise construction, building foreman, company director, assessor to the Master Builders Federation - eventually establishing in June 2000 a private practice in Tauranga as a Registered Building Surveyor.
